A scholarship fund has been established to honor the late Patsy Witten White, '62. The annual scholarship will be awarded to a senior in a McDowell County High School who plans to pursue a career in Education. Preference will be given to applicants planning a career in library science or media technology. Each award recipient will recieve $1500--the award will be renewal for up to four years.

The first scholarship recipient is Ashley Townsend, a member of Mount View's graduating class of 2003. Ms. Townsend will be enrolling at Marshall University in the fall.

Contributions to the scholarship fund are heartily welcomed. Contributions should be payable to Patsy Witten White Memorial Scholarship Trust Fund and directed to:
