The Bridge at Remagen DVD

Hollywood's version of the events of March 7, 1945, when the first US troops crossed the Rhine and entered Germany. John Guillermin directed this 1969 film that starred George Segal, Robert Vaughn, Ben Gazzara and E.G. Marshall. Former West Virginia Congressman Ken Hechler served as a special consultant for this production.

This is a used DVD in very good condition.

A History of Education in McDowell County, WV, 1858-1976

The author graduated from GHS and played football for the Coaldiggers in the late 1920's. He later returned to teach and coach at his alma mater.

This is a well-written and highly readable account of the development of the McDowell County educational system. It features approximated 25 black and white photos, including historical photos of Gary High School, Gary District High, Big Creek High, Big Creek District, Welch High, Elkhorn High, Northfork High, Iaeger High, Kimball High and others! This book is out-of-print and very difficult to find.
